HIDER TIPS
Three ways to hide better, from simple color matching to advanced camouflage.
In Meccha Chameleon, Hiders begin earning points while they remain in a Seeker's line of sight without being recognized. The closer the Seeker is, the greater the scoring potential—so the safest hiding place is not always the highest-scoring one.
The following tips progress from simple painting to advanced camouflage. A simple paint job may still require a clever location, while partial cover can reduce how much of your body needs to be disguised.
TIP 1
Simple Paint. Smart Position.
You do not always need a detailed painting. Find an object with a shape your body can complete, choose a suitable pose, and use one simple color to make yourself look like part of it.
Pumpkin Stem
This approach is simple to paint and works well for players who are still learning the controls. The real challenge is choosing a position where your body shape looks like a natural part of the object.
TIP 2
Hide Your Shape Before You Paint It.
Let the environment hide part of your body first. Ladders, corners, ledges and large objects can break up your silhouette, leaving less exposed area to disguise.
Behind the Ladder
This method is safer and more forgiving because the environment already hides part of your outline. It requires less painting and is a strong option for players who want a more reliable disguise.
TIP 3
Paint the Whole Illusion.
The boldest disguises use an obvious location and rely on accurate painting. Match the nearby colors, patterns and silhouette before the preparation timer runs out.
Cow Camouflage
This is the most demanding approach. The location is obvious, so the camouflage must do almost all the work. It requires faster, more accurate painting, but a convincing disguise near a Seeker can create excellent scoring opportunities.
SEEKER TIPS
Good Hiders manipulate what you expect to see. Slow down and question anything that feels slightly out of place.
Check the room in a consistent order. Look across eye level, corners, floor edges, door frames, ceilings and the sides of large objects instead of rushing between random targets.
If a shape, shadow or color feels wrong, inspect it from another direction. A disguise that looks convincing from the front may reveal an unnatural outline from the side.
Put your hiding strategy to the test in a real multiplayer match.
